On June 8, the Real Club de Golf Las Brisas in Marbella became the setting for the 10th Solidarity Golf Tournament of the Ronald McDonald House of Málaga. As in previous editions, Bonifacio Solís had the honour of collaborating and being one of the main sponsors of this noble event, which brought together more than 120 players in a day full of leisure and solidarity.
The tournament, which was played in Individual Stableford with a shotgun start, achieved a record attendance, with the maximum number of players registered. This success not only allowed participants to share a wonderful day with many golf fans, but also contributed significantly to raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House in Málaga. More than 30,000 euros were raised to keep providing a free home with comprehensive support for seriously ill children and their families, who need to travel to Málaga for medical treatment.
As main sponsors, at Construcciones Bonifacio Solís we are deeply committed to the wellbeing of our community on the Costa del Sol, and also proud to support such enriching activities. Our collaboration, along with that of other sponsors and collaborators, has been fundamental to the success of this event.
The players competed for exceptional prizes. The day ended with a cocktail reception followed by an exciting raffle and charity auction, where spectacular gifts were raffled off. In addition, the participation of renowned Marbella's chef Dani García added a distinctive and 'celebrity' touch to the event, who also showed his support for this important cause.
The aim of the tournament was to raise awareness of the families' vulnerable situation at the Ronald McDonald House in Málaga, and to highlight the relevance of the work that this entity carries out. The Ronald McDonald House provides not only a free home close to the hospital, which is crucial to reduce the stress and distress of families, but also key emotional support through its staff and volunteers. The activities and games that are organised by them help children to maintain a fun and happy childhood despite illness, while the facilities allow the families to feel like they are in a real "home away from home".
For Bonifacio Solís, supporting this type of events and initiatives is a fundamental task, both on a corporate and purely human level. The local support of companies and individuals is essential to keep the doors of the Ronald McDonald House in Málaga open, and to continue helping so many families and children in need.
