At B. Solís, we are deeply committed to social causes that make a difference in our community, as well as in the most needed lives. Last September, we had the honour of being one of the sponsors of the 2024 Butterfly Children Golf Tournament, held by the DEBRA-Piel de Mariposa association at the iconic Aloha Golf Club. This charity event, which brought together 167 players and the support of over 100 companies, allowed us to be part of a cause that is very close to our hearts: helping people affected by Butterfly Skin (epidermolysis bullosa).
Despite weather forecasts threatening a rainy day, we were fortunate to enjoy an exceptional day where solidarity and sport came together to achieve a common goal: improving the quality of life for those who face daily with this incurable and complex condition. The tournament, played in the individual stableford format, provided moments of friendship and commitment, with tee times starting from 8.20 AM to 2.30 PM, followed by an exciting awards ceremony at 8.00 PM, along with a raffle and auction that added even more excitement to the event.
As sponsors, we are immensely proud to have contributed to the total fundraising amount of €26,156.39, which will go towards covering the annual cost of a nurse specialized in Butterfly Skin for the association. This nurse plays a key role for the affected families, providing constant care and an emergency service available 24 hours a day, which turns to be essential for those living with open wounds every day.
Initiatives like this reflect the power of unity between companies, organizations, and compassionate individuals, and we are glad to have been able to contribute to such an important cause. At B. Solís, we will continue to support projects that create a positive impact and improve the lives of those who need it most.
We would like to thank the tournament organizers, participants, and all the sponsors and collaborators for making this special day possible. We look forward to continuing to contribute to life-changing events in the future!
