Participating in the ‘Mentor Project’ of the Construction Labour Foundation (Fundación Laboral de la Construcción)

On November 7th, we had the honor of participating in Proyecto Mentor, an event organized by the Spanish Construction Labour Foundation (Fundación Laboral de la Construcción) as an initiative dedicated to fostering youth employment in the construction sector in Andalusia. On behalf of B. Solís, Mr. Pablo García Romero, our COO, attended this event, reinforcing our commitment to developing young talent in the industry.

This event is part of a broader effort to spark young people’s interest in an industry that is key to the economic and employment development, both in our region and in all the country.

During Proyecto Mentor’s open house sessions, students from Vocational Training in Building and Civil Works (EOC) had the chance to learn firsthand about the wide-ranging opportunities the sector offers. In addition to receiving detailed information about various career paths, these future professionals were able to explore the impact and relevance of construction in economic growth and job creation. Mr. Pablo García Romero made this clear in his conference, where he also talked about the 37 years of B. Solís' experience and projects.

With initiatives like this, Proyecto Mentor aims to attract new talent to the sector, showing young people that construction is much more than a traditional profession: it is an evolving field that offers numerous opportunities for both personal and professional growth.

We are convinced that attracting new generations to construction is essential for ensuring a dynamic, competitive sector that is well-prepared for the challenges of the future. The Proyecto Mentor event was an excellent opportunity to contribute to this mission and to show that the construction sector, as an essential economic driver, is also a path full of opportunities and growth for young people in Andalusia.
