Once again, B. Solís was pleased to take part in the 13th Ronald McDonald House Málaga Charity Golf Tournament, held on 8 August at the Real Club de Golf Guadalmina in Marbella.
As sponsors of this latest edition, we continue to support an initiative whose purpose extends far beyond sport: helping families with seriously ill children remain close to them when they need to travel to Málaga to receive medical treatment.
The event brought together players, partner companies and institutions around a shared cause. In addition, several members of B. Solís also took part in the tournament, sharing a day in which the competition itself took second place to the true purpose of the event: helping more families stay together during particularly difficult times.
Ronald McDonald House Málaga provides free accommodation close to the hospital for families who, for weeks or even months, have to temporarily leave their homes in order to accompany their children through complex medical treatments.
During the recent press conference, one father shared the moving experience his family went through during his son’s treatment. His family stayed at Ronald McDonald House for more than 150 days, a period during which having accommodation close to the hospital enabled them to face the process together. His testimony highlighted the value of this support, describing the House as “a home and a second family.”
Stories such as this remind us of the true purpose behind initiatives like this tournament and the impact that every contribution can have.
