B. Solís has completed the construction of the internal road within Plot XIV of Subsector 50 of Lagoon Villar, in Sotogrande (San Roque, Cádiz), a key infrastructure project aimed at improving access to the different plots and providing the area with the necessary services for its future development.
The new road extends for approximately 760 metres and features a 12.20-metre-wide platform. Its design includes two traffic lanes, one in each direction, as well as two pavements measuring 1.20 metres and 3 metres respectively. Alongside the latter, a 2.20-metre strip has been incorporated, alternating between parallel parking spaces and landscaped areas.
Beyond the visible elements, a fundamental part of the project lies beneath the road. The works included the installation of sewerage, water supply and irrigation networks, medium- and low-voltage electricity infrastructure, telecommunications and public lighting, preparing the area for its future development.
Particular attention was also given to rainwater management. The road’s gradient directs water towards the centre, where a network of storm drains collects and channels it appropriately. In addition, the embankments have been protected with coconut fibre mesh and rock armour at the upper and lower sections of the slopes, helping to reduce erosion caused by surface runoff.
The road base has been constructed using several layers of selected materials, graded aggregate and concrete, creating a stable structure for the final paving.
For the finishes, aged-effect concrete paving blocks in grey tones were selected, combined with “Petram” paving laid in a herringbone pattern in pedestrian areas. Even the traffic markings and pedestrian crossings have been integrated using black and white paving blocks, maintaining a consistent appearance throughout the development.
The lighting system comprises 34 five-metre-high columns fitted with LED luminaires, providing an efficient solution aligned with the overall design of the road.
This project brings together infrastructure, mobility, drainage and urban development to create a functional environment prepared for the next phases of Lagoon Villar.
